It’s our fifth year showcasing this half washed process and half natural process blend from Hambela Estate in Southern Ethiopia. You’ll sip a balanced cup of perfumed florals layered on decadent pomegranate notes. This year’s seasonal blend offering combines two very different tasting coffees into one extra special combination. Coffee delivered to this mill can have two paths. One is the washed route, where all layers of the fruit are removed mechanically then soaked underwater before moving on to be dried. The other way is natural. All layers of the fruit are left on then dried out in the sun on raised beds. Even though the coffee fruit is the same, the two processes produce entirely different end results.
