Indigenous to Ethiopia, coffee was propagated throughout the new world in the 17th and 18th centuries on the coattails of the Dutch and their many conquests for newfound territory. As such, our flagship “1950” blend seeks to evoke imagery of a time in which spice traders navigated the globe on vessels - “caravels” - made of timbers, flying canvas - “lateen” - sails.
The 1950 Blend’s cup profile combines indigenous Ethiopia Heirloom cultivars with a roast profile charted to maximize their dense sweetness and exotic spice profile.
