Founded by Heleodoro de Jesús Villatoro López, Finca La Esperanza has been growing amazing coffees since 1956. The farm is now three generations deep, and currently under the care of his grandchild, Aurelio Villatoro. The family’s meticulous attention to every detail is routinely recognized in the Cup of Excellence. Thoughtfully choosing to start their farm in La Libertad was one of the first and best choices made. The mountainous microclimate achieves the perfect balance of hot days, cool nights and a heavy dose of rain during Huehuetenango's wet season. La Esperanza is situated on a steep slope at the head of a natural spring. It not only provides a beautiful backdrop but supplies exceptionally pure water used in their coffee processing. Verve has been purchasing this coffee for 6 years.
